Typography Week!

This week I experimented in Illustrator creating different types of typography. It was fun practice in making letters come to life, each exploding with a unique personality. Who would have guessed there was so many ways to say “StainOx”?

For me, playing around with the colors was the most fun. The shapes and forms convey a sense of story, but the colors give the story its tone. The typography of the featured image for example resembles bacteria floating around in some substance. The colors give it an aqueous, slippery feel. I had first tried bright colors (yellow, orange, and red) and noticed the letters had a sweet candy look, like gummy worms or something.
